Aside from traditional and online courses, I have been taking students on study abroad and away experiences. My favorite classroom is the world outside the campus walls, where experiential learning happens organically. The impact these experiences have on each student is immeasurable, the depth of their experiences is a great part of their education.

Honor Students explored the breathtaking views of Iceland in a photographic expedition. Students also learned about content creation and published their own websites as a result of the course.

SXSWTaking students to the South by Southwest Interactive Festival, part of a massive, 10-day conglomeration of festivals and conferences in Austin, Texas was a privilege. Students networked with industry professionals and learned about emerging technology, film and interactive media.

Spain + GreeceAs a doctoral student at the University of Florida I had my first experience leading students abroad. This was an extremely large group and the seasoned faculty members taught me the wonders of taking students to explore the world as part of their education.
